Croft Cabin offers comfortable modern self catering accommodation in Fort Augustus, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Fort Augustus village amenities, Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal are within a 5 minute walk of Croft Cabin. The Great Glen Way passes the end of our drive.
Croft Cabin as the name suggests is located on our small 6 and a half acre croft, it is a great place to get away from it all, relax and recharge but still be a part of the village community with access to shops, post office, garage, petrol station, pubs, cafes, boat trips, fishing, golf course, walks and cycle routes.

Our Location
Croft Cabin is in a relaxing rural location, in the village of Fort Augustus.
Fort Augustus is situated to the south western end of Loch Ness and is equal distance between Inverness (to the North) and Fort William (to the south). In addition to Inverness and Fort William, Urquhart Castle, Glen Affric, Eilean Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye are just some of the popular destinations which are within an hours drive of here.
For the more serious adventurer there are Munro's and Corbetts to bag, including Scotlands highest Ben Nevis close to Fort William. You might be interested in exploring part or all of the Great Glen Way a long distance path that runs coast-to-coast between Fort William and Inverness passing through Fort Augustus or the South Loch Ness Trail running 59km from Fort Augustus to Inverness exploring the quieter side of Loch Ness. Alternatively combine the two in a 129.5km circuit around Loch Ness in the form of the Loch Ness 360 Trail.
From Fort Augustus itself you can watch boats navigate their way through the locks of the Caledonian canal, walk to the shores of Loch Ness or take a boat trip to see the scenery from a different perspective and be on the lookout for the Loch Ness Monster! There are also river and forest walks to explore and see some of the wonderful wildlife of this region.

Booking Terms and Conditions
All guests must be 18 years or older at time of booking.
Maximum of 2 adults as named on booking form entitled to stay at the property.
No smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes in cabin.
Sorry no pets.
Guests are invited to check in between 4pm and 7pm (earlier check in is not available). If arrival is expected after this time please notify us so we can make appropriate arrangements, there is no check in after 10pm.
Guests are asked to vacate the cabin at the end of their stay no later than 10am.
Guests must ensure the cabin is left in a clean and tidy condition and contents are respected at all times. If at any point during a stay we (the owners) deem the behaviour of the guests to be inappropriate or detrimental to the cabin or croft or livestock we reserve the right to terminate the stay and for guests to leave the cabin with no refund of any booking fee.
The owners accept no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to any guests or their property during their stay however caused.
Booking Policy
A deposit of £150 is required at time of booking to secure your chosen dates.
The full balance is payable 30 days before the start of the rental.
For bookings made less than 30 days before the start of your rental the full rental fee is required to confirm the booking.
Non payment of the balance will be construed as a cancellation of the booking by the guest and the deposit will not be refunded.
Cancellation of any booking by the guest for whatever reason must be made in writing by email or letter addressed to Karen to the email/address given at the time of booking.
Deposits (less a £10 administration fee and any banking charges) will be refunded provided we are given 30 days notice from the rental start date. Less than 30 days notice the deposit will not be refunded.
As property owners we will endeavour to make sure the property is available for the dates booked. In the unlikely event the property becomes unavailable and we have to cancel the booking the guests will be entitled to a full refund. The property owner will only be liable to return the monies received. No compensation or losses will be paid.
We strongly recommend guests take out appropriate insurance.
We do our utmost to ensure information is correct and up to date.
